So far this little Frigidaire A/C unit has been doing it's job! Since it has yet to endure spring & summer heat & humidity that is indigenous to FL, I must wait to then to reach a final verdict! Texas summers are no fun without good air conditioners. When my bedroom a/c bit the dust during the hottest part of September, I replaced it with the Frigidaire 8,000 BTU unit. I couldn't believe the difference in performance. The other unit was labeled as the same size, but fell far short in cooling power. I plan to purchase another Frigidaire unit exactly the same size for all the same reasons, THEY WORK!

I bought the exact same one about two years ago and I use it full time. My a/c runs pretty much 24/7. After two years it finally started to not cool the way it did when it was new. I think a gecko got in it one day and when the fan started up, it got chopped up and I think a piece of it might have put a small hole in one of the lines creating a slight leak thereby causing the condenser to freeze up if I ran it too long. However, it still works well. Knowing how well that one was I decided to replace it with the same exact one and I am very pleased with it. It's not often a window air conditioner can get the house cold enough to need a blanket or a long sleeved shirt and jeans. Kudos to Frigidaire for such a good product..

We've had this air conditioner for about two weeks now and it is working as or better than expected. It cools the room sufficiently and runs much quieter than the 5000 BTU Friedrich unit it replaced. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

I bought this because I was happy with previous Frigidaire air conditioner. This product functions fine, however, after opening the brand new box, I found ripped side panel and damage on the cooling fins on the back. Obviously quality control failed to find these issues. Frigidaire is sending new side panels, but the the damaged fins remains. As I have mounted this already and I needed it immediately, I did not get a chance to return. Workmanship and quality issues need to be resolved. I was trying to add pictures, but the web page is not letting me, saying error has occurred!!!

I've had the unit now for about 3 months and had to get a replacement because it wouldn't cool a 240 sqft insulated shop. On a 75° day it wouldn't even cool to the temp outside after calling frigidaire they were great to deal with and decided to replace my unit(turns out it was used but purchased as new from Amazon) insanely fast turn around time. After cutting the cord and sending a pic and requested documents on a Wednesday, I had the replacement unit the following Monday! The new unit still wouldn't cool sufficiently but customer service suggested ruining it all night. That does keep it cooler by far but the fact that I have to leave it running 24 hours a day is ridiculous. The temperature that the unit reads is about 9 degrees off so when it's really 75° the unit says it's 64 which is far from the case. This causes it to shut off well before cooling the room. If your trying to cool anything close to 200-350 sqft like the description suggests do yourself a favor and go for the 10k or 12k btu unit.

Like that the control panel is in the middle of the so not hidden by curtains. Nice Compact unit. Ambient sound is perfect. Mostly use on Air Only to circulate fresh air into the bedroom at night.

Barely cooled a 220sqft room. Extremely loud, and broke after two months. Purchased in July, wouldnt turn on by September. I should have paid more attention to the reviews on Amazon, many of which said that the unit only lasts a couple of months.

I compared this model with other brands and decided to go with the Frigidaire and so far I am glad I did. The room it is cooling is the appropriate square footage, but it is a room full of windows that gets a lot of sun. This AC does the job.

My son purchased this unit in Denver and had it shipped to us in Humble Texas. The ease of unpacking and installation was great. The foam inserts and the side slide outs were designed to work real well . This is not the largest unit that Frigidare sells, but for our <800 sq ft home this unit cools the entire home. When the unit is running it is nice ans quiet in the home . Outside the unit is a bit noisy . The remote comes in real handy ,

Good cooling but loud even at low fan. When on auto the fact that it turns itself on every 10 minutes to check the temperature is VERY distracting and will likely reduce its fan motors lifetimes.

I bought this unit 2 years ago. Most window units have a service life of at least 10 years. This one only lasted a measly 2. I know Florida weather is brutal during the summer, but this is depressing. I only ran it during the summer months, so in actuality in only lasted about 9 months total. Disappointed customer!! Now I have to sit in a Hot room for the rest of this brutal summer weather.
