In less than 18 months under normal household use; the door handle broke. Replacement part costs $120 dollars!. I find both issues outrageous. Also the filter door cover screw broke out of its holder so the door flops open. This is so discouraging! and disappointing!

New Microware... takes some getting use to from an ancient one LOL but quick to learn how to push new buttons. At first the microwave was constantly blowing a fuse. The circuit breaker was changed and now works fine

Absolutely love my new microwave. It works great esp for breakfast. Only complaint, beep that continues and continues when food is done until you open the door. So easy to use. Love the under 2 part light for the stove.

Purchased an the entire Frigidaire collection when remodeling our kitchen in August 2018. Microwave is only 2 yrs old - already placed filter, thermostat and now the ™fan™ won™™t shut off. Cost for a repair out weighs the cost of a new one. Repairmen are out of our area in a 50 mile radius to our home. Unable to reach a ™human™ at the Customer Service Number who keeps replaying the recording and directing me to U Tube or their online repair troubleshoot. What a joke!!!

I bought this and had it installed 10/11/1017. Model #FGMV176NTF SERIAL NO.KG72510251 Mfg. date 06/2017 Approx. 3 mos. ago when opening the door a little pc.of plastic fell off & I coulnd t figure out where on the micro it came from? Since then you cant open before the timer stops or it totally blows the fuse but I could haved lived with that no problem. Now as soon as I press start it blows the fuse. I usually use a mirowave numerous times a day so this is a catastrophe for me. When this 1st started I checked your website & another person had the exact same issue.

Our Frigidaire microwave came with our new house. I like the looks of it and has nice features, but it does seem to cook quite hot on all power settings even if setting on power 3-5. I have adapted to the hot cooking and still figuring out how some things cook.Also when cleaning, have wiped the keypad off with soft cloth to clean fingerprints and it seems to scratch easily. Maybe one should have keep the film over it. I have bought some clear film to put over it and although it may not look the best it will protect it.Other than these couple things I like the microwave.

13 months after purchase the microwave just stopped working. Not a fuse--but two boards burned out. Added to that, I was away for over two months and only used the microwave a few times a week.

This was one of the appliances the builder put in our new home. It has a higher wattage I believe than my past microwaves. I appreciate that it has a built in timer as well as my previous one did not when I replaced the appliances. I had not thought about that feature when I was purchasing that package before so very happy to have this function for this microwave.

The microwave came with our home which we purchased in Nov of 2019 and so far it's surviving 2020 which is a huge statement for anything to survive 2020, I hope I survive 2020. My 6 children use it constantly which is also a fairly significant test. It is full of features and easy to use and easy to clean. We really love having it and using it.

Bought this microwave in November of 2017. Blew the fuse so we got more fuses and it blew it again. Then my husband put a door switch on it and it worked for 1 day. Going to look for a different brand. It's too bad because I really liked it. :(

This came with our new home from DR Horton. The microwave works okay, the touch pad is very klunky to use. Our old GE one was much better as the touch pad was throughly thought out.

I have had this microwave for 2 years. About 1 year in the microwave would blow the fuse intermittently. It became more often until the microwave could not be used. We replaced the fuse. The microwave continues to blow the fuse. Discouraged I need to replace my microwave after only 2 years.

Purchased in February 2018. Worked great until one day the infamous door circuit breaker issue arose like so many others I™™ve read about. Now I need to take it to an appliance repair shop that wants almost as much money to fix it as the microwave cost in the first place. Completely unacceptable for a $400+ microwave. So I get to either spend 700 on one microwave that has already broken once, or another 400 on a different brand of microwave.

This is now the second time in less than a year that we™™ve had the same issue as others. Microwave died again when I opened the door. Last time it cost us over $200 to repair because of the horrible company Frigidaire required us to use for the repair, even though it was still under warranty. Now we have to do it all over again. Credit where it™™s due, the Frigidaire rep tried to help us but the repair company was a two-bit operation that squeezed every penny they could out of us. Not the pleasant Big spark when the door opened and then tripped the breaker and microwave is dead. Exact same problem as last fall. Avoid this microwave!

This unit replaced a GE that had worked for over 12 years. I replaced it when we redid our kitchen. After 13 months the unit died. Fortunately I had purchased an extended warranty so the repair didn't cost me anything. Recently the problem reoccurred and it was repaired a second time. Today it died again which I assume is the same reason as the other time, a poorly designed door switch. That's 3 times in less than 3 years. Called P.C. Richard, the vendor that I purchased the unit from and who I have the extended warranty with. I told them it made no sense to do another repair and I wanted a replacement but definitely not another Frigidaire since obviously this model has a design problem. They agreed and are working thru the process of getting an approval. I am very disappointed with Frigidaire and will never buy another. I also have a Frigidaire range which I'm thankful has an extended warranty.

Have been using only 2.5 months. Already the clock doesn™™t work Bc a light fills that space saying I need a filter. Called the parts department today, the part number has been changed. Not sure why it needs a air/charcoal filter in so short a time. The parts lady was nice, told me I could go to you tube, key in the part number and I would find a video showing how to change the filter. Really?! After only 2.5 months? Only me and my husband here. We don™™t use it every day.

I bought this microwave in November 2017. I used it for about 9 months with no problems. Then, it intermittently (not every time) started to trip my circuit breaker if I opened the door while cooking. Note, it never tripped the breaker when I opened the door while cooking until I had the unit about 9 months. I would reset the breaker when this happened, and it would cook again. A few weeks after the warranty expired, resetting the breaker would no longer work if I opened the door while cooking. Each time I hit cook, it would just trip the breaker again. Note, the rest of the microwave features would work (such as the light or timer); it just would not cook without re-tripping the breaker. This microwave is on a dedicated circuit with adequate amps. It is not an electrical problem.In the past 2 months, I have had the "switch" replaced three times now, and the door replaced once. The unit works fine unless I open the door when cooking, and then my breaker trips once again and the unit will not cook once the breaker is reset, resulting in another service call to have the switch replaced again.The local appliance repair company today called Frigidaire to explain the problem, and Frigidaire said that it was the way this unit was designed, and that newer models do not allow the user to open the door while the unit is cooking. This is fine, but this does not explain why this was never an issue for 9 months. Obviously, it is not a design issue, or it would have happened before the unit was in use for nearly a year. I have a Danby microwave oven in my finished basement, and I can open the door when cooking without any issue.I have missed 3 days work in the last 2 months for appliance repair calls on this unit. I would like Frigidaire to replace this defective unit with one that does not have this defect..

Really like look and cooking options. What I did not like is the mounting nuts on front which pulled out of frame when I went to mount. Problem was threads jeopardized and when I put bolt in about half way in it bound up. I could not loosen nor tighten. With pressure the nut came out of chasey. So had to cut bolt to get out. This added another hour to installation and a trip to hardware store to get a wing nut and bolt to mount. This is lousy layout that needs major warning to installer and needs to be beefed up so it can not come out of chassey.

Came with a new home. We negotiated the upgrade to Gallery level appliances. We have been happy with them all. If I could change anything on the microwave, it would be nice if the keypad had some sort of backlight. Impossible to see in a dark kitchen. Also, initially the turntable was very jumpy, and seemed to run in spurts. That seems to have improved on it's own. Overall we're very pleased with the style, look and performance.

Purchased the a FGMV176NTF model microwave (mfg date: July 2017) in November 2017 and registered the product online. The expectation was that this unit would work for several years like our previous microwaves, only to discover that this unit has a history of blowing breakers and fuses. Troubleshooting did not identify any issues with the door switches or electrical connections and replacement of the internal fuse did not fix the problem. Unfortunately, since the unit is out of warranty, Frigidaire support's advice was to have a "professional servicer come out for repairs" along with a discount code (PCORR02) for 20% off parts, if parts were ordered directly from them. How long do you want to do be without a functioning microwave in your kitchen? Does Frigidaire read the reviews on their products and take them seriously? E-mail correspondence took over a week for a reply due with the initial response that "our offices are currently closed to allow our employees time to observe the holidays with their families" at the end of July. Buyer beware!

I™™ve been using this microwave daily for a few months now. Things heat up quick in this microwave which is a plus. The defrost option has an extra step that I could do without but it™™s there to be more accurate so it™™s a minor thing. Now this thing beeps when it™™s done. Several loud beeps. It also does continuous reminder beeps within seconds. You will not forget about whatever you put in there at all. It™™s the Stewie of microwaves. Mom. Mom. Mommy. Mom. Functions are easy and simple I never needed and instruction manual
