As many other reviewers have stated, this refrigerator is defective. Do not purchase it. The evaporator fan had to be replaced within the first month. The entire contents of the refrigerator was lost. The plastic factory installed evaporator fan was replaced with a metal fan. This has not fixed the issue. There is still condensation and icing in the freezer. This problem is compounded by the fact that when the refrigerator door is closed, air from the frig is forced into the freezer, which caused the freezer door to pop open and close. I have owned Frigidaire products for over 30 years without issue, but their newer products are not made well. I also purchased an over the range microwave (with the refrigerator) and it constantly trips the circuit breaker. This issue has also not been resolved as well. No problems with the dishwasher and gas stove.

I have only had this fridge for a month, but I am enjoying it so far. The fridge with ice maker is noisy, but it seems to be working well. The ice maker is really fast at producing ice. I have trouble keeping up with it. It™€™s hard to find a reliable fridge, and I trust that this one will last a while. I really wish it was black with the smudge proof stainless steel so it would better match my kitchen design. I like how easy it is to clean the smudge proof stainless. I like the amount of space the fridge has.

We were so happy to afford a new refrigerator, had it 4 weeks and lost a whole grocery order! Our freezer was fine , refrigerator 70™€ Really???? Serviceman had to replace the circulating fan ????? No one cared about what we lost and never received the gift card we were to receive after registration online !! Never again !!!!!

Excellent Space Refrigerator

We bought this along with a stove from the Frigidaire Gallery collection for a matched set. The fridge has a TON of space, and is handy for storing all food. Plenty of options for how you want to set it up, and a whole bunch of room in the door. I had read reviews about the noise level of this appliance, but I don't think it's loud at all, compared to the refrigerator we replaced! This one's a keeper!

Bought this about 2 month ago. Things that I think need improving. Better adjustable shelf positions. Top shelf could be heavier. It says with little weight on it and I'm afraid it will brake the glass. Other than that it's seems good.

I have a limited amount of space to fit a refrigerator in my kitchen. I need something with more space than most 29.63™€ refrigerators offer. This one is taller than most and doesn™€™t have the cheap door shelves. It has all the space I need along with a full width dairy/meat drawer that comes in very handy. I found the best value for what I wanted and I couldn™€™t be more pleased. It operates very quietly and efficiently.

roomy for its sizeI replaced an old top freezer that served me well for the 25 yrs I owned it. Bought this Frigidire FGTR2042tf (sight unseen) based on seeing the shorter 18 cu ft version in black stainless. It arrived today and here are my first impressions: It is well lit in both compartments, and there are separate freezer and refrigerator temp controls. I also like the taller height and the full width deli drawer. It seemed to come to temperature within 6 hours and froze my ice well. I am monitoring the temperature with a thermometer suspended in a glass of water for a few days and adjusting until I know the temperature is maintaining at approx 38° so far, so good. The produce bins seem quite small with minimal front to back depth due to the back half being slanted. The plastic construction as well as the drawer movement feels a bit flimsy and cheap, it would be better if it felt as sturdy and durable as the all clear door bins. I did notice as I shopped refrigerators that the manufacturers don't seem to think that smaller top freezer units deserve much in the line of quality components which bummed me. Not all of us with smaller spaces want an inexpensive entry level unit. I woild be happy to pay a bit more to get really substantial durable components. I did not buy the icemaker as from what I read, they can be prone to failure and I don't mind making my own ice. One less thing to worry about repairing. That said, I am very glad I retained my old fridges ice bin, trays and rack set to use in the Frigidaire as there was not even an ice cube tray included. I found that weird. I also admit I have a bit of trepidition in the freezer utilizing a glass shelf, will see how that pans out over time with spills and feeezing. This machine is definitely noisy when running by which I mean it thumps, pops, snaps, cracks, hums, groans and rattles. I have never heard anythng quite like it. My dogs even bark at it. If I had an open concept floor plan, it might be problematic. I wonder how visitors will react when they hear it.I really really wish these were made in America. They are made in Mexico. The other thing I wish I could change is the utility room gray side panels that remind me of an old painted basement floor. I would have much preferred black or at least a deeper graphite or charcoal gray color. That gray goes with nothing in my kitchen especially not my countertops whereas black goes with everything. I feel like I may need pay someone to professionally spray paint them at some point. It's that ugly. Note: The smudgeproof stainless is deeper blue gray toned stainless that may not match your other stainless appliances. I have a 3 yr old electrolux range and that is a bit shinier silver stainless. Not a big problem with my kitchen layout, but noteworthy if younare trying to match your appliances. Overall its a nice looking refrigerator inside and a good option when your space width is limited to 30" as mine was. I hope to have many years of trouble free use.
