Paint on washer and dryer scratches to easily. Almost as if there is/ was no clear coat to protect paint which cost extra for grey finish. Durability of finish should be resistant to withstand plastic laundry bottles placed on top instead of light surface scratches

Nice design, clothes are thoroughly cleaner

1 month in and overall pretty happy. Had to cut a star due to an issue with the lid lock not functioning/getting stuck. If the lock doesn't engage washer won't start a cycle. Was able to unstuck it myself. Fingers crossed it stays ok. A lot of washing options which was a good selling point. Would buy again, hope it lasts as long as my previous Maytag.

Best appliance I have ever owned!

My favorite appliances in my home are my washer and dryer. I love the full size capacity features they have along with all of the options to choose from when deciding how my laundry needs to be handled. I can hear the sound mechanisms when they go off from my basement as a load is finished washing or drying. They are very pleasant and perfect in pitch. I don't consider laundry a chore anymore due to the ease of operation of my Maytag appliances. It is the best investment I have ever made.

Maytag to the rescue!

Our wonderful washing machine finally gave up the ghost and what a sad day that was. We were in dire need of a new washing machine as we have a huge family. Long story short, I bought 2 different washing machines, each delivered to the house. BOTH would not work, and had to be returned to Sears. Let's say this took several days and was very stressful. Love my new Maytag washer!

My washer was purchased about a month ago. It has worked very well. I have washed small loads to blankets. Used the deep fill option, but I also added wet towels with large loads to add more water. I very, very pleased. I read many reviews and followed recommendations as washing different size clothing, packing clothes lightly, using HE detergent, and distributing weight evenly around the tub. So far it has performed with outstanding results-clean clothes! They should provide a clothes grabber to take clothes out the bottom of the drum-it is very deep. Worth buying.

Received defective washing machine - no resolution

We purchased this Maytag washer along with the matching Maytag dryer, had it delivered, installed it and tried to run it for the very first time and the inner drum just started crashing around loosely inside the unit. It was as if it wasn't attached at all, making violent and loud banging noises when it tried to spin. So we immediately contacted the company we bought it from asking for a replacement, as this one is clearly defective. After numerous phone calls and emails to their returns department, they denied our request to return the washer to them and basically told us it's a Maytag problem so we have to go after the Maytag company if we want it replaced?! No commitment or sense of responsibility to their customers at all! Now Maytag wants to "fix" the issue instead of replacing the unit, which their own technician diagnosed as 2 of the shocks being completely missing! How does a washing machine get out of their factory without 2 of its most important components? And how confident can we ever feel that this washer will work correctly now? It has likely caused damage to the machine to run without those shocks. We are getting nowhere with both Canadian Appliance Source and Maytag on this issue, which we think is a simple one - we purchased a brand new washing machine, we want to have a brand new washing machine - not a defective one that they are going to "fix up" for us! We are extremely frustrated and disappointed with this entire experience. Still no resolution after 3 weeks with no functioning washing machine...

I have had this washer for 2 years and purchased the extended warranty service. The machine started having problems shortly after the appliance warranty ended with continously having error codes, then it stopped working completely and was out of a washer for 2 to 3 days for a family of 5 is a big deal to recently the machine spun so violently that it damaged the front and the side of the appliance. How many times must a claim be put in before it is replaced. Highly disappointed customers.

Best Washer EVER!!!!

I had this delivered over a month ago and absolutely love it! I had a front load before this and most of the time my wash was still dirty and smelly when it was done. Not anymore! I'm so pleased with this washing machine. I love how my clothes smell so fresh and are very clean when they come out. Thank you Maytag!

Some good features but lots not so good

I purchased this from Lowe's and for the most part am unhappy with it. It had a delicate cycle but there is nothing delicate about the cycle. It tears up my clothing and has ruined so many of my clothes. All the cycles including Delicate leave the clothes severely waded up and permanently wrinkled. There is no soak cycle. Clothes still have soap on them at the end of the cycle.

broke in a month

I bought it a month ago. Not even a month broke already, noise when spin and not filling water .Now I need to go to coin laundry.Technician was here and told me there are two broken parts. My old washer last for 5 yrs but this one not even a month, not a great choice.

I really like the power wash option on this washing machine. I also like the rapid wash setting for when I need to get laundry done quickly. Only thing I would change is that the deep fill setting could use a little more water and it could use more vigorous agitation. I do like all the options available and the overall look is so nice. Makes me excited to do laundry again!!

simple to use, clothes come out so dry already

I love my new washer, my clothes already feel cleaner from before. They come out spun really good, like with the big quilts which are a nightmare to spin in regular washers but Maytag is the best by far. I could only wash two queen size fleece sheets before in my washer and it sometimes would never quit spinning because of the weight, but in this machine, I can put my two fleece sheets, a light cotton quilt and two light weight flannel sheets all in queen and the washer does a fantastic job. Do you know how many hours that saves me, many many hours every time. I love my machine and I tell her all the time I love her. Machines are always female by the way and you must talk to them.

I special ordered it in color. It is beautiful! Sleek modern sharp - makes a statement. So many features yet so easy to use. It does an excellent job of washing my clothes. The best I have ever used. Capacity is amazing. Easily fit a California Comforter with room to spare and it came out superb!! Better than if I would have sent to have professionally cleaned (dry cleaners). I love my new washer (and dryer) - makes me want to do laundry.

It's huge and pretty

I had this unit and the matching dryer installed about 4.5 weeks ago. They are huge! I can now do laundry much faster and that's great. I love the options and the looks of them. My clothes seem to be a lot cleaner too versus using my old set. I did detract 1 Star as I had an issue 11 days after installation and got some grief and a flippant attitude from Brittany in the service department, but after I called back and spoke with another person my issue was resolved.
