Ok product but customer service has been terrible. I call and get told that someone with technical expertise will call me back. But nobody ever calls back. I may have made a mistake purchasing this washing machine.

I absolutely love my Speed Queen washer and dryer. The washer is level, drum is in balance, spins all sizes of clothing without drama and the clothing is much cleaner. The tub does not rust and it is quiet!!! The dryer gets clothes dry the first time.
Since 2019 I have purchased 4 washers and dryers, They were all junk. Will never buy from a Big Box Store again. I HIGHLY recommend Speed Queen and have told everyone how satisfied I am with your product. Thanks for being made in the USA!

The AUTO FILL does not not add enough water to even COMPLETELY cover washing items..1st..this doe NOT allow enough rinse water to thoroughly remove detergent. 2nd. I have been informed to use washing/ rinsing water at least 2 or 3 inches above the washing
items to save wear / tear on machine & to RINSE COMPLETELY. I think this Auto Fill design is not a beneficial feature..as I now use JUST large setting..17 gallons for a wash..17 gallons for rinse..total 34 gallons no matter size of wash load...as ONLY OTHER SETTING IS ..SMALL..NOT enough water ..NO selection of Medium.
I am considering purchasing additional warranty to protect my huge cost/ investment.
Time will tell if Speed Queen lives up to the reputation of past. Or will my TR5 Speed Queen. Have .. Speedy ..technical issues after the Standard 5 yr warranty Expires??
I Do hope that my details ..review reaches the right level to consider alternative changes to future models

This agitator-style washing machine is a throwback (in a good way) to the ones we grew up with back in the day. No digital displays, no electronic touch-style buttons, no confusing choices of cycles, times, etc., just simple dials to select wash water temperature, water level, and cycle. That being said, the "normal" cycle is paired with a spray rinse which doesn't seem to remove the detergent too well. Even the salesperson told me not to use that cycle. So, it's either Permanent Press or Heavy Duty to choose from when doing what would seem to be a "normal" load.
The machine is quiet, efficient, and doesn't take forever to finish a cycle. And the spin cycle does a great job of removing the water. As mentioned by other customers, there is no dispenser for detergent. I knew this going into the purchase of this model, but it makes no sense why Speed Queen would design it like that. Other than that, I'm happy with the machine and feel it will last a long time.

Old 33 yearold Kenmore finally died. So started looking at CR and customer reviews. We were not ready for a feontloader and wanted less "electronics" if you will. So se settled on the speed queen. it stilll had traditional knobs and easy to use and a decent warranty as well as good reviews. Very happy so far.

Purchased to replace a speed queen washer, only about 10 years old , but dryer needed to be replaced. Great quality and agitation is very quiet but does make other noises and spin drain is very loud, not a big issue. Start, pause button is black on a black panel very hard to see will need to paint a white dot on it. All said and done great quality and made in America so parts and service are easily available if needed.. highly recommended

This machine has been noting but trouble. It's needed repairs twice and is only 3 1/2 years old. First was a complete replacement of the control board and now it's just inoperable with a full tank of water and clothing. Regret that I didn't go with a different machine. My last was a GE and it lasted 7 years with no repairs.

I have been a Maytag customer for 46 years. The last one I bought started having trouble 2 months after I bought it. Had it serviced and only lasted for 2 years. I told my husband never again and we were going to bite the bullet and by a speed queen. I have been very pleased with my purchase

I've been looking at and wanting a speed queen for YEARS! Our front loader finally gave up the ghost and we were able to get a Speed Queen washer. It's so fast, quiet and actually washes the clothes! My husband come home super dirty from work so having a washer that ACTUALLY fills up with water and agitates has been awesome!

So far very pleased with ta washer that get the clothes clean and is actually quieter than the Kenmore it replaces. It really took 4 people to get it off the truck. It does a better job on the spin cycle than previous washer and consequently takes much less time to dry clothes. This speeds up the whole process of washing on the weekends.

I got this co$tly washer cause it is in laundromats and hopefully easy to repair at home. Well from our first load till now (about 2 years now) EVERY load comes out with marks on some clothes (thankfully in the dryer they are removed, but I like to line dry on nice days).
We don't use to much detergent or overload, but it doesn't matter. I should have returned it after that first load, but I didn't want to haul it back. Don't be lazy like me!
Customer service was promt when I finally reached out, but their suggestions unfortunately haven't worked.

We live in an area where the big box stores will not deliver appliances and only one business sells appliances. The washer/dryers are Speed Queen period, no choice of brands. The washer works fine, just paid a big premium to get it. Had ti hire someone to get rid of the old washer and install the new one. The price of being away from big cities but worth it.

This was a first time Speed Queen purchase. I'm sold! Our washer and dryer is located on the second floor of the house and you cannot hear the washing machine downstairs when it is running, unlike the previous machine we had. It also washes great! Love this machine!

Everything is perfect on this machine so far except there is a puddle of fabric softener left in drum. I switched to heavy duty and has not done it yet but don't think this should happen in any mode. I'd not for this issue would definitely be 5 stars.

I love this washing machine. Also so simple to use. I pretty much wash everything on the Norma/eco cycle with automatic fill and warm water. That takes care of my laundry. And it's ver quiet. Plus there is the bonus of knowing you have a great washer that will last for many years.

In the past 26 years I have gone through 3 washing machines - now at 64 years old - I plan for this to be my last one. I did my research and the Speed Queen consistently came out as the number one product to buy. So far it is working well. Clothes are clean. The washer is so quiet I can't even hear it in my small 1275 sq. ft. one story house. Hopefully in 10 years the Speed Queen is holding as well as it today.

I love this machine. I wanted a front load combo washer/dryer to save space but after watching multiple videos on them and also on front loaders in general my husband convinced me that it would be a bad idea. I gave up and went to Derochers in Monroe, MI and looked at the models. I very quickly picked this one because if I was going to have a washer that would last I wanted one without the fancy electronics that tend to die the fastest. I have had my Speed Queen for about a month and I couldn't ask for a better washer. My clothes are getting cleaner and the loads don't take as long. I am happy to have an agitator back, my last Maytag was an impeller model. I can fill my Speed Queen up to the top of the drum and still get a clean load of clothes.

Haven't had it long enough to say most durable but hopefully last longer than the maytag I had for 15yrs works well so far but don't like the touch start button, prefer pull out knob. Doesn't spin fast enough, have to respin most of every load. As a former maytag employee I see no reason why these two things can't be improved. My main reason for purchasing this is because of the metal tub and inner parts. Feel their a little pricey

Asked the man at appliance mart where the best most durable washers are and he showed me the speed queens, no fancy nonsense its a washer and it does its job excellently, if you have a mom or family member that would prefer a machine that is simple and easy to use this is the one, super easy to hook up, it is one heavy machine though so you better have a buddy to help or walk it in. I will never have anything but a speedqueen for as long as they are around.

I expected a lot better from speed queen, if I'm being honest. A failure is fine if remedied quickly. A failure that takes a whole month to resolve because of poorly handled warranty processes and poor communication with repair companies is the real miss here. Horrible experience.
