Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy, and expensive and you probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Worked great for 3 year but then ...

Submitted by johndoe2019 - 4/6/2019

5 out of 10 times the cycle does not complete .. and it gets stuck on spin ; clothes are still soaked i then have to reset it ; power off/on and restart .. Its works 50% of the time now. Very frustating considering I spent 1.2K for two units at the time. Do not recommend.

Not working as it use to.

Submitted by Dave Morgan - 12/22/2018

I bought this washer and dryer a few years ago. In the last 10 months its is working only part time. The agitator works about 5 seconds and stops, its does nothing until it starts rinsing . Then half of the loads do not spin proper, you have to spin again again.

Does not clean and rusting after 18 months

Submitted by Disappointed Cajun - 8/30/2018

I purchased this machine because it was a Whirlpool and because I liked the idea of not having a center agitator which made it easier to remove the clothes. The salesman sold me on the low water levels. I should have known better! This machine does not clean my clothes. Also, the lid began to rust within 18 months of owning the machine. I purchased a 5 year extended coverage and was shocked when I learned that the rusting was not covered. Also, pieces of rust keep dropping down into the dispenser tray. I've put up with this lousy machine for 6 years and now I can finally afford to buy another washing machine to replace it. I do not recommend this machine!

Clicking and soaking wet clothes

Submitted by cmloyd - 8/16/2018

My cabrio wtw5500x has stopped working and after reading reviews here, I noticed that several people have same issues. Clicking, not starting, soaking load. I contacted customer service via chat and they said there was no issue that they know of so I need to contact a service professional. Terrible customer service. I asked since I saw many reviews on other sites that stated this same problem that there must be an issue that I can look for on my own. And their response was that they can't monitor what other forums say about their products and that there are no issues listed for this model. This washer and dryer came with the home that we purchased 2 years ago and not sure how old the unit is.

Works great until it doesn't

Submitted by debwhowashes - 8/6/2018

This is not a new appliance - it is about 4 years old. I have been happy with it. Then it stopped operating the spin cycle properly: it washed but left the batch soaking wet and the machine in an error condition. Well, problems happen. But I had heck of a time getting it fixed. I called more then 4 repair services that all declined to try to service it. I contacted Whirlpool and was referred to a service. It took them 3 visits to get it repaired. The 3rd visit replaced a part that had been replaced in the 2nd visit. The repair man admitted that many of the new parts are faulty.

Not satisfied - too many repairs

Submitted by gberry - 3/24/2018

First the lid lock was an issue. Spent lots of time trouble shooting that and then of course money on parts. Then the fabric softener valve stopped working. Then a part underneath the washer that has a single plastic mounting tab that broke off and would result in the part dropping towards the floor. This would cause the wires connected to it to come off their connections and the washer wouldn't work. Again, more parts and money because of a plastic mounting tab breaking off. Now the washer won't start at all. I just get a humming noise at the onset of the initial "sensing" mode. Used the technician's guide to troubleshoot again, but can't even get it to start the "Diagnostic Test Modes". Can't imagine what a "tech" would charge to come out and manually diagnose the issue this time. It is unfortunate with today's technology that these machines aren't built to last a very long time. Reputation of Whirlpool and others are clearly in jeopardy and not what they used to be. Disappointing.

Engineered to FAIL

Submitted by MechanicMatt - 2/26/2018

So far nothing but problems with this machine. Bought it at a local box store it was old stock that had been buried in there warehouse. Got a great deal due to its age, even though it was new in the box. After several attempts to make it go through a complete wash cycle I gave up. It looks cheaply made. I'm an auto mechanic by trade and can tell you that metal gears and plastic gears meshing is a recipe for eventual failure. I see it daily on today's automobiles. It is a shame that machines built today are engineered to FAIL in a given amount of time. IFor example I have a Westinghouse deep freeze from 1971 that just quit 1-22-2018. It was engineered to last. Today's products are junk right out of the box this machine is no exception.

Would never recommend this washer

Submitted by Aggravated launderer - 11/20/2016

We have not had a pleasan experience with this washer. We can not trust it to work consistently. Many times, the wash cycle does not complete. Clothes are left soaking wet in the drum. It may take 2 or 3 hours to complete a cycle, sometimes correctly and sometimes not. Laundry is time consuming as it is, repeating cycles is totally aggravating and wasteful.

It died after 4 years

Submitted by Texas Resident - 11/14/2015

I have to rate this machine is poor simply because it didn't last very long. 4 years, to be exact. In my opinion, that is a complete fail. We had the repairmen come out, who said it wouldn't be worth it to fix it. For the money, he recommended buying a new one. During the time that the machine did work, it wasn't bad. I would even rate it as good - if it weren't for its short life. Sorry. Four years really doesn't cut it.

I am so in love with this washer, I look for things to wash!It cleans very well and it plays a little tune to tell me my load is done!I have to admit I was skeptical of there not being an agitator, but I now would never go back to an agitator machine. This machine is exceptional!!

Waste of money

Submitted by Thias - 8/4/2015

We've only had this washer since 8/2012 and have had to replace the belts about a couple of months ago. Now the whole bearing system is out and it'll cost $260 to replace. We're getting another washer all together. We don't have a lot of money & this machine was more expensive which we thought would benefit us in the long run. We were wrong! I can't believe how much money we've wasted on it.

Submitted by Jae36 - 10/7/2014

I bought this washer a little over a month ago and while I am pleased with the look of the washer and the fact that it doesn't have an agitator, I am not completely sold on it yet. I don't think that my clothes are getting super clean in the first wash, and so I am usually doing a second wash to get them clean. I have just recently started washing everything on heavy soil (whether they are or not)so that I can make sure that they are getting clean on the first try. Not sure how that is impacting the efficiency, but the clothes seem a bit cleaner.

Awesome features

Submitted by Clml - 8/29/2014

I purchased this machine because of the features and the price. I found that I really enjoy this machine and the cleanliness that it provides. Things I don't particularly like but can live with are that it has a lid lock and sometimes I may find an additional item I want to throw in and can't due to this feature, or if the load gets unbalanced, I cannot fix the load without completely stopping the machine and restarting the load. But the lid lock feature, though I don't know WHY that is needed on a machine, is a feature I don't care for but can live with. Other than that, I enjoy my new machine and would recommend it to others!!

Submitted by MFWalker - 8/19/2014

I am not crazy about the high efficiency washers. My old one wore out and there wasn't much to choose from. This one is probably one of the better HE washers. At first some of my clothes did not seem to get clean. Someone suggested that I always select bulky and extra rinse.

A total waste of money!

Submitted by Jen G - 8/13/2014

I have had this machine for 2 years and 9 months. The spin function stopped working, so we had to pay a repair man to come out and take a look (out of warranty), thinking it was a part that could be fixed. The motor is already shot - $500 for the part plus labor! I was shocked. So now we need to buy a new machine. A total waste.

Submitted by Hollywood44 - 8/4/2014

Long cycles, noisy, wrinkled clothes that aren't that clean. Can't rinse the detergent cup that you used add the detergent so you end up with messing detergent bottles and a floor. When the machine spins out on high spin, you think something is wrong with the machine because it shakes so bad. On the positive side, found the controls to be easy to use and the options for washing good. Wouldn't recommend for a larger family or a situation when large amounts of laundry has to be done.

Submitted by ssmm - 8/1/2014

My old washer (with agitator) broke and I bought this to replace it. Just wanted something simple. It is, and it's fine. I read reviews before purchasing it about clothes not getting as clean without the agitator, etc.. I can see why people would write that, as we're all used to clothes being nice and wet after a wash. So far, though, they seem clean to me....

I have had this washer for a little over two years. I love the way it loads and uses little water. It has plenty of settings for your most delecate of clothing to you large blankets and comforters. The one hing that disappoints me about the washer is that you have to make sure to keep it clean or it will cause problems. Over all I am very pleased with it. I have the matching dryer and it is amazing.

Had washer about 3 months, very satisfied. First high efficiency that I have owned. After getting used to different operational sounds all is fine. Clothes very clean and machine is easier on them and capacity is sufficient.

We purchased this washing machine right after we moved into our new house. I've been happy about the ease of use and how clean it gets our clothes. I would recommend Whirlpool to anyone looking for a new washer.
