I've had this for 3 months now and in order for my clothes to get clean (specifically under garments), I have to select Presoak + Deep Water + Extra Rinse. And sometimes, that doesn't even do it. It's not uncommon for me to have to wash it all twice. And it leaves detergent marks on clothing (which I had been warned about). Maybe the agitator version might have done better. Regret this purchase.

Noisy but works good

Makes a grinding noise

When the drum rotates one way it makes a very different grinding noise. It also leaves soap marks on my clothes even when using hardly any detergent - less than the recommended amount. It just doesn't seem to wash properly. I have had it for 2 weeks now and am very disappointed.

Would never buy this machine again. Works fine for a few loads and then machine won't spin. Put it on a rinse and spin cycle, machine gets down to 8 minutes and then back up to 16 for a rinse and spin again. Continuous never-ending cycle. I rearrange the clothes thinking they're off balance, but that doesn't work either. Can spend hours with this thing trying to get it to spin. Total disappointment and the machine is only 2 years old.

Great Washer! Good Price!

I purchased this washer about 1 month ago and it has been night and day to the one I had replaced. I prefer a top loader instead of a front loader and this has a huge capacity to fit my King size comforter. It is very quite and energy efficient.

Great Washer

I bought this washer about a month ago and I am glad I made a right decision. This is the second Whirlpool washer we have. The first one lasted 30 years. So my wife and I decided to go for Whirlpool again. So far it works excellently. The only complaint my wife has is the depth of the inner tub. She has to bend her body to reach the clothes at bottom of the inner tub.

Off balance when washing blankets or towels- There are times I have pulled a load out of the washer and there are things that have dry spots, even when using the larger load setting. I previously owned a front load and miss it! Never was it ever off balance. ANNOYING!

Horrible. Already broken.

We've had less than two years and it won't work. Piece of poo. Do not buy. When it worked it didn't get clothes very clean and often left gallons of water in the bottom and we had to rerun over and over. Sometimes we could never get all the water out and had to ring out clothes in our bathtub. Will ever ever buy whirlpool again. I would rate zero if that was an option.

This is my third experience with Whirlpool washers... going all the way back to the 60's with an up/down agitator. Always pleased. I like how quiet this machine runs. I like the electronic indicators. I like that it cleans the clothes. But not too fond of the black lid. I preferred the clear window of my 2009 Cabrio. It would have more easily matched the dryer I have from the same year. But... the lid color and transparency does not affect efficiency. After all... that's why we bought it!!

Don't bother if your family gets dirty

I got this washer with such high hopes. Sadly it disappoints a little more with each load. My husband is a farmer, he gets dirty like really dirty, his jeans will come out of a full cycle just as dirty as when I put them in. Ive tried putting the really dirty stuff on the bottom, pretreating, different cycle options. All basically with the same results, clothes that are still dirty after I wash them. The cycles take a ridiculous amount of time, the timer isn't usually all that accurate, and don't get me started on the service! We live in rural South Dakota. We bought the matching washer and dryer from a retailer about 45 minutes away. When we had issues with the dryer I contact Whirlpool and none of their contracted service people would come work on it because we were "too far away" so they basically threw the ball back in our court and told us to find a repair man and they'd just foot the bill. Needless to say probably won't buy whirlpool and definitely will not be getting a HE top loader again.

The washer looks good and works well. The only thing I don't like is the water level. You have to run most loads on deep because the regular water level wash is not enough to cover the clothes.
