Terrible Oven Does not Preheat Fast

We are very disappointed with our electric range. We have had it 6 years and the oven will not preheat to temperature fast. It takes over 40 minutes to get it to 350 degrees. I cant believe it can barely last 6 years when I paid over 1000.00 back in 2019.

Range didnt last very long. We purchased it in November 2019. Here it is Oct 2024 less than 5 years in and it is dead. We smelled a plastic burning odor then the over stopped working. Wouldnt bake or broil. The problem is that with prices and repair costs where they are today it was probably cheaper in the long run to purchase a new stove than spend hundreds fixing this one. This stove wasnt inexpensive either. I would expect a stove at this price and brand to last way more than 4+ years. I doubt I will be purchasing LG products in the future

4 years old and wont heat up to the correct temperature. Called and did all the trouble shooting and smart diagnosis told me the oven didnt give an error code it would be $400 to fix Pulled the oven out from the wall and there are melted wires and burnt connections This could have burnt my house down I proceeded to look this up on google and there are many people that have the burnt and melted components with the same oven Lg needs to fix this. I dont have $400 to repair this. Seems like a huge issue with a lot of people. My old stove was almost 20 years old

The stove looks really nice. It had a front door face problem with surface peeling away but LG fixed it free of charge. I was very happy with the service. I find that the surface burners run very hot. High is 9 and it goes down to 1. Water still boils on 7 and I would still consider 5 medium high. I would prefer 5 to be medium heat. It takes some getting used to. All of LGs timer tones and ready tones are pretty irritating. They should put together a group to find better sounds. However this is only a minor thing. The oven preheats pretty quickly and cooks evenly. The cleaning cycle works very well however the glass window seems to stay dirty and requires some extra attention. Even then if there is anything that has made its way between the surface cover glass and the main glass it will pretty much require difficult removal to clean.

After only 4 years the oven went out. I had to replace the oven relay printed circuit board. It cost me $120 for the new part. If I would have had to call a service tech it probably would have cost me twice as much.

Do not buy anything from LG. Our motherboard went out on the back of the stove and its $600 for the part before installing. Weve had multiple issues with our LG refrigerator three compressors two condensers and three dryers in a matter of three years. weve also had issues with our LG dishwasher. The screen blinks. Cuts off during the middle of cycles. Stay away from anything LG.

I bought this in September of 2019 November 27 2019 my oven stopped working and one of the burner eyes stopped working as well. I was in the middle of preparing my Thanksgiving dinner. I called LG VERY VERY VERY RUDE Customer service I had to allow them to take videos/ take photos of my stove to finally get them to send someone out they sent someone out mid December and then they had to order the parts I thought this was the reason for them taking the photos/videos anyway it gets fixed but here we are yet again without a working oven and its been down since Before Easter Sunday Im waiting on parts Again since April 13 today is May 5 2022 There IS an LG Factory here Im tired Im going to go look at stoves today I like baked home-cooked meals too. I didnt cuss. I have Great Disdain for LG. Hate is a strong word.

Too many issues with a brand new appliance

We bought a new set of LG kitchen appliances from a local store 2 years ago. From the beginning we had issues with baking- uneven baking partially burnt partially raw. We called the local appliance dealer that we purchased from after several months and trouble-shooting through the owners manual. The LG service person came and discovered after over an hour of tests that one heating element was never connected- a manufacturing issue. After a little over a year of ownership we had to move the appliance to have a new kitchen floor installed and plugged the stove/oven in. Within a few weeks we noticed a burning smell and mild smoke coming out from the back of the stove. After several phone calls it was found that the power cord was not properly connected to the junction box when installed and was literally burning a section of the cord. The stove is hard to keep clean looking and is showing wear already. Would not recommend

I bought a bundle pack two years ago. Microwave has been repaired twice within the past two years. Now the range is broken elements would not work and the oven will not work. Air fryer and microwave saved Super Bowl festivities. No warranty and technicians informed us display board and touch panel are not working needs replacement. I was told LG is a good brand but I am skeptical especially after reading the reviews. I wish wouldve read the reviews before purchase. Lets not forget that on the LG site this range is discontinued. Totally dissatisfied my old stove brand name remains anonymous lasted twenty years.

Last year when I cleaned the oven it got so hot that the thermofoil on my adjacent drawers and cabinets melted. They had a tech come and determined that the temperature was too high. All heating parts were replaced. Recently the circuit board blew and the oven did not preheat. I needed a new circuit board.

It caught on fire

We purchased our unit just 2 years ago and tonight while trying to cook dinner in the oven the insulation around the unit caught on fire. As we never leave our oven unattended I was able to get the fire out before it damaged my house. When I contacted LG they told me I had to wait a week for someone to come look at the unit despite being offered the fire report from the fire department that came to my house. End result it will be a few weeks before I can cook food. I bought an LG because in the past I have had a good experience this was not a product or experience that I can support.

TRUE LOVE UNTIL SHE BROKE MY HEART

We purchased a complete LG black stainless kitchen- this stove fridge microwave and dishwasher- about a year and a half ago. Two weeks after our purchase the black stainless finish on the refrigerator started to flake off and LG does not provide service for finish problems so we had to live with that. BUT we couldnt live with what the oven decided to do. I do not use the oven often but loved it when I did. The convection oven bakes and roasts your meals to perfection. The gorgeous blue interior was actually what made us decide to go with LG for all of our appliances. And it ended up being the stoves downfall. After running the self cleaning feature for only the second time I took damp paper towels and started to wipe down the bottom of the oven to remove the remaining white ash residue when I could hear and feel something scraping beneath the damp paper towel. When I lifted the paper towel there were several shards of the beautiful blue enamel in the paper. Upon investigation we discovered that the blue enamel had cracked and flaked off from the front center of the oven right below where the door hinges. LG did offer us a full refund even though we were well out of warranty which we gratefully accepted. But we will have to buy a replacement stove now because the oven is leaking heat into the kitchen. Will it be an LG. Definitely. Will it have a blue interior? Probably not.

Noisy glitchy dishwasher

Ive had this dishwasher less than 2 years and starting a normal cycle is a challenge. It will seem to start normally and then suddenly it will start beeping as if the door was opened even though it hasnt been touched. Then it will go back to its cycle. I havent called a repair person yet because Ive already spent a fortune repairing the LG stove I have and the LG response team wont do anything to remedy the situation or back their product since its out of warranty.

Warranty repair sourced through LG was unprofessional for my serving area. Real piece of junk oven burns everything. I am a baker and not one thing I bake comes out right either way too brown or burned and cracked edges with raw middle and uncooked bottom. Too long to preheat. I have tried everything nothing works cant even bake a cookie without it over browning and crisping too much but middle deflates from being uncooked. The insta clean is pathetic. Never see a difference. Have never had problems with any stove Ive ever owned before this and I am 72 years old worst purchase I ever made.

We bought this in March of 2019 and within the first 3 months the oven would not heat up over 300. We had several repairmen come out they replaced a part and within a week it stopped working again. They replaced another part and on Christmas day it went out again. We have been trying to get this fixed for almost a year with no results. Customer service is very poor.
