I bought UN55NU6900BXZA at the end of 2018 and last week TV stopped working.I was expecting it to last a little longer than 1.5 year. Picture was gone first and then sound. Called Samsung for troubleshooting but they couldn't do much.

Lasted less than 2 years. Today, screen just went black out of the blue. No more power or anything. Big brick. We have a Samsung Surround Sound Home Theater that it never quite worked well with. Receiver was supposed to turn on with TV, but if it didn't, when you go to turn it on, it would switch input to DVD. Amazon Prime would crash constantly. Never happens on Xbox or Roku.

Bad Experience and No Support from Samsung

It was bad day and bad experience with SAMSUNG TV.I'm extremely shocked that I have to write a review about my Samsung Smart TV. I had just purchased this TV 8 months ago from Costco and all of sudden TV turned off completely. Immediately called Costco then they advised me to resent the TV by holding down the power button for a few seconds. After I did it worked fine. but after 15 days again got same problem but this time not helped me resting option. The red indicator/power light blinked continuously then stopped. I didn't buy an extended warranty because I believed Samsung having the best TVs on market. I thought to myself I tried calling Costco to see if there was a different method I could use to turn it on but, all they could do was give me the number to Samsung Support. Of course, I had no choice but to call Samsung. All the representative could do was start "troubleshooting" by telling me to do the same exact methods that I did prior to the call. He stated I understand that the TV isn't working properly but Samsung only has a limited warranty. He was more than happy to send a repair team over within the next 3 days but he reassured me that depending on the type of repair, I might need to pay out of pocket. All I can think about is how could a Smart TV by Samsung only last me 8 months. I am highly upset and disappointed.

This is a great TV for the enthusiast on a budget.

I have owned this T.V. for about a month and i play a lot of games and am a tech enthusiast. I spent 2 weeks looking for the perfect T.V. with reasonable features, It had to be 4k, and it had to have a display lag time below 25ms; Preferably a 55in, which is what i already had. I must say, i have had no degradation on my 4k gaming experience from display lag, glitching, screen tearing, or any detrimental effects to my experience from this T.V. The picture quality, in dynamic, or game mode, with a small mount of fine tuning for preference, was excellent. I love this T.V. and would recommend it to anyone buying in this range. It's truly a great product for a great value.

Need a higher refresh rate.

I really love my Samsung TV and so does my family. This is our second Samsung TV. The one we had before, one of the kids crack the screen. I'm still so hurt behind that. I had to go months which included football season without my 60 inch big screen. Now the to the facts. At this stage in life all Samsung TVs should have a refresh rate of 120. Even paying a low thousand is still too high for a TV that is still not at peak performance when it comes to clarity of the picture. The remote control can go through a slight makeover. A picture in picture would have been awesome to have. Maybe Samsung has rectified all of those issues and more with the newer TVs. Those newer QLED TVs that Samsung is putting out LOOKS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. An also we are almost an all Samsung household. My wife, my daughter, and I have Samsung cell phones. Appliances is next on our list.

However, the viewing angle is poor, color fades very rapidly as you move to the sides. Reminds me of a cheap 1080 I have in the basement. Not much evidence of HDR even running Prime in 4k HDR. So so quality, but much better than the 8-year-old Visio. and starts very fast.

Has a great picture. For example there were many complaints about the episode of Game of Thrones which was shot at night and in a foggy situation. I did not have this problem and only learned about it later on social media. This TV had a great picture during that episode. I saw all of the action that was on that although it was very dark. Next I play video games and one in particular places my character in very dark areas. Playing on dynamic allows these areas to be lightened up in a way to see where I am at.

Love the Samsung TVs

I now have 4 Samsung TV's. For each one I definitely feel you need to add a sound bar with base unit. Since all my flat screens are wall mounted it does diminish the performance of the built in sound. Otherwise the performance is fantastic.

I have really enjoyed my Samsung smart TV. It has very good picture quality and the frame rate is very high which is good for gaming. The only downside to this TV is that sometimes the smart hub can get a little frozen up, but for the most part it works great. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy again.

Streaming not working reliably due to TVPlus App

Brand new TV stopped working after being powered up for few hours of working. THe TVPlus App freezes all apps streaming on TV. Spent several hours with samsung support to no avail. They refused to delete TVPlus app.

Our new tv just arrived yesterday and we couldn't stop binge watching our favorite show. The picture and sound are amazing, and it comes with so many watch options built in. We love it.

Day one...

Okay, first...this is day one. I picked this TV after receiving a gift coupon from a cell phone company for buying 2 Samsung Galaxy phones. So, I got this TV for under 40.00. Amazing picture and sound. It is sturdy, my husband was able to lift it without harming himself (pulled a back muscle a month ago). He was able to get it up and running by himself (this is usually my job in the marriage). This included connecting to the internet, registering with Samsung and Netflix. After that he was off and running. After reading some of the reviews I wanted to provide some input. With regards to bloatware; there are quite a few choices on the TV... almost every electronic product has it and much of it cannot come off. For me this is not a problem. As a matter of fact, I use a lot of it...just not on my TV. Nice to know I have the option should I want to. The only problem I have had so far.. I now get channels on my regular TV when I did not before. No, getting more channels is not a problem, the argument the hubby and I had a over whether or not he started ordering things...was. Turns out it is just an option that comes with the TV. I'll check back hopefully in several months as I learn more. But, so far I am thrilled.
